Thursday 7th July – e-bike *** – Around Felixstowe visiting Falkenham and Kirton churches – cloudy morning with sunny afternoon with a good breeze from the north.

There was a good breeze from the North today, not a great direction down this way with the best venue being the River Stour but with high water at 5.30 in the morning and again at 5.30 in the afternoon which pretty much ruled out windsurfing for me and by the look of thing not much wind coming over the next week, will I ever get my new foil gear wet? A cloudy morning meant exercises in the back room and listening to that chump Boris resign but not as Prime Minister but from the leader of the Tory Party so he is being a knob until the end! Then after lunch with the sun now coming out, I decided to head out on my bike despite the wind, Mag stayed at home as she had already been out on her bike early! I decided to head inland with my camera in search of some countryside pics to send to the local TV weather, it is becoming increasingly hard to get one on these days! Down past The Grove Park and whizzing down Marsh Lane, am loving the electric power assist, sadly I soon realised my battery was low and ran out but you can still ride it like a normal bike. I whizzed past Kings Fleet to Falkenham Church taking a few pics enroute, it was lovely being out in the peace and quiet of Suffolk’s rolling countryside. Taking the back way out of the church leading to Kirton Church where I stop for a drink and take my thin jacket off. Then back across the fields to Candlet Lane and home, a pleasant enough way to spend the afternoon but not the same without Mag and not great cycling in a good breeze especially when your e-wheel battery is flat!

PS - got one of my pics on About Anglia - very briefly!
